2007 was a huge success. Ocean City's own Sean Scarborgh won the Heart Cup racing in the Melges24 Northeast District Championship Series.

Originally launched as Atlantic City Race Week, the Heart Cup remains New Jersey’s premier offshore sailing regatta. For 30 years, some of the region’s best sailors compete in both class and handicap fleet racing. Even more impressive than the keen competition are the hundreds of thousands of dollars that have been raised for Heart related charities over the years. Ocean City Yacht Club’s charity gala, The Heart Ball will take place July 26, 2008.
