Place:  Boats will leave from the Ocean City Yacht Club, 100 Bay Road, Ocean City, NJ (on the corner of Bay and Battersea Rd).  The fishing will be on protected waters behind Ocean City.

Arrival Time:   Families should arrive at 8:15 am. Boats will board at 9:00 am  or earlier. 

Return Time:  Boats will return at noon to the Club for lunch.  Plan on leaving the Yacht Club at 12:30 pm.

Bad Weather:  The “go- no-go” status of the event will be posted on the event’s Facebook page at

www.facebook.com/OceanCityFishingForKids/

Check there before you travel to Ocean City.   Also, in case of bad weather, the organizers of the event will attempt to call each group on Saturday night to tell you if the trip is cancelled.  You must include your phone number when you register in order to be contacted.

Miscellaneous:

• All children are required to come with an adult chaperone.
• Bring warm clothes in case the day is cool and windy.
• Bring rain gear if showers are forecasted.
• No need to bring any fishing gear.  It will be provided on the boats.
• Lunch will be served around noon back at the Yacht Club.
• There will be many fishing boats involved.  Each boat will take one or two family groups (between 3 and 6 people per boat).

so that your boat is not held up waiting for you.
