Sporting Clay Dusters

"Pull, BANG, Dust" 

In addition to its boating and social activities that revolve around the clubhouse, OCYC also has an activity that occurs on the mainland. This is the Sporting Clay Dusters group, which congregates about 4 times a year to shoot clay pigeons. This group originated in the fall of 2020, and has flourished to around 40 active participants including: men, women, novices and experienced shooters. Typical venues are Cedar Creek Sporting Clays in Millville, and Red Wing Sporting Clays in Port Republic. This is an outdoor activity where one can enjoy socialization before and after the regular boating season. Even if you are not a shooter, the trip through the woods is enjoyable, and lunch afterward is always a good time! Come join us!
